Description

To meet the growing demand for multifunctional materials and scalable architectures in microelectronics, this doctoral research focuses on optimizing barium strontium titanate (BST) thin films. Developed via Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) and Magnetron Sputtering (MS) on large-area substrates, these films exhibit the structural uniformity, high crystallinity, and electrode compatibility necessary for CMOS integration. Utilizing the high dielectric constant of BST, a hybrid "top-down/bottom-up" approach is introduced: micro-interdigitated electrodes are fabricated via photolithography and subsequently functionalized with vertically aligned nanowires grown through electrochemical templating. This scalable, highly sensitive platform bridges electronics, photonics, and sensing, offering robust solutions for environmental monitoring, personalized healthcare, and precision agriculture.
