Description
This presentation will cover the current quality assurance (QA) programme of relative and absolute dosimetry for a linear accelerator used in radiotherapy. It will briefly present the theoretical aspects of relative and absolute dose determination in a water phantom based on international protocols (TRS-398), as well as the dosimetry equipment used in our clinic, including ionization chambers, the electrometer, and a water phantom. The measurement procedure will be described, covering the determination of absorbed dose, percentage depth dose curves, and beam profiles. Finally, the results obtained will be presented and discussed in relation to the established tolerance levels.
